Fees
Assessment fees, refunds, and administrative charges are processed in Canadian dollars.
Documentation
Candidates must complete the assessment-specific forms identified in the applicable pre-assessment guide before attending.
Scheduling
Candidates who cannot attend must follow the cancellation policy. Assessments are not directly rescheduled at this time.
Receipts
Receipts are issued automatically after registration and payment. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive one.
Re-testing
All assessments follow the same retest waiting periods: 15 days after the first failed attempt and 30 days after the second and all subsequent failed attempts.
Payments
Stripe is the third-party secure payment service provider used for supported online payment transactions.
Cancellations and attendance
Candidates are responsible for understanding the cancellation windows and the documentation required when an assessment cannot be attended as scheduled.
Cancel through your online account at least five business days before the scheduled assessment to receive a refund less a $50.00 plus HST administrative fee.
Cancellations within five business days are not refunded. If you cannot attend, log into your OFAI account, open Support, and submit the appropriate cancellation or support request.
Refund or cancellation consideration within the five-business-day window is only available when serious illness or another serious cause affects your ability to complete the assessment. Supporting evidence must be submitted within seven business days after the scheduled appointment.
Accepted serious causes include serious illness or injury with a medical note, loss or bereavement supported by a death certificate, or hardship or trauma such as being the victim of a crime or traffic accident.
Candidates must notify OFAI through their account before the scheduled appointment if they will not attend. Failure to do so results in forfeiture of fees.
The use of audio or video recording devices, cell phones, and similar devices by participants is not permitted during assessments. Children and unregistered guests are not permitted in the testing facility.
Cancellations caused by calamity, attack, or another event beyond the control of OFAI and its third-party affiliates do not constitute grounds for a refund.
By registering through the website and attending in person, candidates agree to complete the Assumption, Waiver, Release and Indemnity Agreement, the OFAI Candidate Agreement, and any assessment-specific forms. Failure to produce the required documentation may result in cancellation and a later rebooking at the discretion of OFAI, with an additional fee.
OFAI and its affiliates assume no liability related to the use of the registration or payment functions. Any dispute about payment processing or the handling of payment information collected by Stripe must be raised directly with the payment service provider.
Subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law, candidates also agree that their information may be used for communications required to administer assessments and related operational notices.
